“Music Makers” Exhibit at Portland International Airport: March–August 2013

Traveling to Portland, or stuck at the PDX Airport for a layover? If you are somewhere in Concourse A of the airport, you can see this exhibit. I was invited to participate, along with a handful of talented Oregon luthiers as we present guitars, ukuleles, mandolins, and other beautiful objects of lutherie art.

Another interesting aspect of the exhibit focuses on several decommissioned violins, intricately painted by regional artists. These “lutherie canvasses” were auctioned off to benefit the Portland Youth Philharmonic. Press release
